Nice Steelie Kevin,

I hope you don't mind. I couldn't help notice THIS, and I would like to submit it as the next T-Shirt design. Just stick SDD on it somewhere and it will be perfect. For the ladies out there just replace "her" with "him".

Slayed? With an adipose fin still attached? That's a BAD 94redbeauty! BAD! :roflmao

Okay, just zoomed in on the picture, and I take it back. The pattern of your shirt looked like the adipose. I can see it has been removed. Sorry! :sorry (That's a BAD Hoss, BAD!!!)

Just to clarify, to those that do not steelhead fish, the State of Washington has a pretty extensive hatchery program to enhance the steelhead population, and provide better fishing opportunities while still protecting the wild population of steelhead. This means anglers can only keep fish that originated from the hatchery, to protect wild runs. Wild fish must be released. The way that you tell the difference is when they release the fish from the hatchery, they clip off the adipose fin (on the top of the fish between the dorsal fin and the tail). Therefore, if your fish has an adipose fin, it is wild, and must be released.

My uncle was Superintendent of schools in Tenino for years.

The Clearwater, the Ronde, and the Salmon are all doing just fine right now, but a dam blew out on the Wieser (way down in Idaho) so the Snake is muddy and murky as anything, so the runs have slowed to a trickle until the mud clears out of the Snake. The fish just hang out down around Central Ferry and Lower Granite until the mud settles, then they head up to their repsective waterways.

The fishing was pretty rough this weekend because of the mud, but if you managed to get up onto a clear waterway (the Salmon, in my case) you had a chance. The weekend before this weekend, one of my buddies casted some flys on the Ronde and caught 3 in one day. That was before the Wieser blew out, so I am pretty sure the mud just fouled everything up...

What was your uncles name? Yeah the snake is muddy also because they are dredging it out. Ok Ok you caught me, I didnt slay it, I caught it legally, even pinched my barb:thumbs
