DUM BASS... :tounge
your heat bill is gonna skyrocket if you run that much hot water... I only run 40 gallons... :watchout

OH no  I was thinking that the fact we can run the dishwasher, clothes washer, two showers and kitchen sink all at the same time was a good thing :sly

Done Deal

Got it all finished up :sweet Took a extra day but it turned out great. Seems to run real quiet compared to the old unit and heats up real quick. I think we are going to like the outdoor sensor that lowers the boiler temp when the outdoor temps are high and raises the boiler temp when it is real cold outside. This new technology is suppose to save big bucks but we will see after next winter.

Old unit

More education for Crumm

Talk about a learning experience.

When I purchased this unit the guys at the dealer told me how quiet it was. They told me that I would not even know when it was running. When I fired it up it was far from quiet, it actually had a rumble to it. I had my old school boiler guy here and he tried everything he knew to make it smooth out without any luck. We could get it to fire quiet but then rumble when running or it would explode when it started then just rumble a little when it was running. He got on the phone several times over the last few days with the techs at Riello and they had us do a few things but it still rumbled. We tried a smaller nozzle and it seemed to help a little but then after a few days the starts got explosive again. Today we took everything back to stock settings and it would not even start, it would just bang and go out. I asked him several times over the last few days about the pump pressure but he kept telling me that the pressure they set them at is usually good enough. Slant/fin wants 138psi and riello wants 145 psi but he said it would not make that big of difference as to how bad it was running. After a few hours of head scratching today he picked up the phone and called the best Riello tech in town and had him come over. The tech took it all apart and could not find anything wrong so he put it back together and installed his pump pressure guage. When we hit the power the guage showed over 400 psi instead of 145 psi  Seems as though the pump and or pressure regulator was bad from the factory. Installed a new pump and now it is a quiet as a mouse :sweet The 400 psi of fuel pressure was just a wee bit too much  It is now all dialed in to 87.25% efficient and purring like a kitten.
