I have run Stihls all my life - only in the past three years did I switch over to Husky. Great saws - can't go wrong there.
One common problem that I had on every Stihl was this. There is a small soft rubber hose that runs from the tank to the carb - when the saw starts to run ragged or just won't start/run - you will need to replace this hose as it will crack - very small hairline. Some may try to adjust the carb - don't let them - just replace the hose. It ran around a buck 30 so I would buy several and seal them in a plastic bag with one of those desacant (sp?) bags. Get and keep the spare cause it will go out when you need it the most.
Other than that - you'll love the saw.
