Just another question that I had thought of....Do you ever have to hit the go pedal when starting when it is really cold?? I know that it is fuel injected...but I remember when I lived back east in my gasser fuel injected car, sometimes you had to to get it running. Is that ever necessary on the diesel injection or no?? Thanks again for all the info!
nope...wont do anything for anything thats fuel injected.
youre kinda showing your age now...i too remember slappin' the pedal
to activate the choke on old carb'd cars.
the 6.0l might stumble at 1st, some have reported a stall and then
a restart but shouldnt take more than that....below 45* the rpm will
ramp up a few hundred rpm and then again below 30* or so itll take
another ramp up in rpms when idling...this is automatic and its there
to prevent wet-stacking and to warm the engine...as soon as you
tap the break pedal the rpm should fall back down.
