I have Bean's 1.0 non-wastegated housing. I already had a compressor wheel from another vendor but it's the same wheel, I put it in when I installed the exhaust housing.
I have experienced slightly lower egt's, they don't climb as fast for sure. Cool down times are quicker. I haven't towed anything yet. From what I've seen with data streams on the Evo, back pressure's are down slightly. I need to do some boost to backpressure datalogging with Autoeginuity to get some definitive info but it looks close to a 1:1 ratio.
I can't comment on the help with surge, I had the ATS housing prior and didn't have surge problems. Spool up is a little slower but once spooled it lights noticably harder. The lag is prolly more pronounced with my 6spd, if I kept it above 2k rpms it wouldn't be noticeable.
Overall it pulls harder on the top end for sure!
