I recently noticed the 06 I had to buy in a hurry doesn't have one. I'm in Michigan and frequent the U.P. in winter (upper peninsula for non michigan people) The temps up there can be negative for days with nasty winds coming off the lake.

My question is where on the 6.0 is the heater? can this location be accessed without tearing half the truck apart? anyone ever added one after the fact? or paid someone to ad it?

Thanks

I donot have a 6.0L but I have a 7.3L and the block heater is located on the block right beside the oil filter housing (drivers side inner fender) I know when I purchased my truck they had the cord for the block heater ty strapped up out of the way (under the front bumper) most new diesels come factory with block heater so maybe the cord is just missing

on my 03 it was there & listed as a option on the factory window sticker. So unless they are installing them and not listing them on the sticker? I don't have one.

may be the ford dealerships in Canada automatically install them due to the long cold winters?

Block heaters are installed on all diesel trucks. It is the cord that may be missing. The block heater is located on the right side of the engine just above the starter. You will have to crawl under the truck to see it.

Try Ebay - found new for $25 including shipping.

Install is straight-forward though a little awkward.
