I am not familiar with those guys, but I like what I read on their site. Sounds good! I would go with the biggest output alternator that you can fit in your truck. I like the "made in the US" part especially!

Get your batteries checked out, premature alternator failure is often due to weak batteries that constantly overload the alternator.

160 amps will do the job,I couldn't find anything regarding warranty coverage.

I installed a new 160 amp on my cop car more than 3 years ago and it's still charging away.

I recommend Alterstart based on my purchase and customer service from them.

Here's the 250 Amp unit with Lifetime Warranty but call them toll free at 800 607-0016 to confirm 6.0L interchangability,they know alternators!

I'm looking at installing a bridge rectifier on the Excursion.

I know it may not make a difference to some but each of Alterstart's alternators come with it's own dyno style printout indicating amperage output from idle to high RPMs so you know what you're getting out of the box
