Howdy All,
As many of you know I am in nursing school and I am now proud to say that I have less than 2 weeks left. I have been blessed to have high grades this semester so on my final I need a whopping 50 to pass :hail . On Jan 8, 07 I start work on a "Cardiothorasic Telemetry Surgical Unit" which is a fancy name for the place you go to recover from a heart by-pass or valve replacement.
I am very excited about the upgrades and improvements I will be making to my PSD. Being a nursing student has not made me a rich man so with a respectable paycheck coming in again I can afford to tinker.
I am posting this here, because I wouldn't say this around many of my classmates who are not in the same position I am, and I don't want it to appear as though I am gloating in front of them. I am just proud of what I have accomplished. I know that they put in as much effort as I did (I don't recall meeting a slacker in the nursing program), things just didn't work out for some of them.
Anyways, thanks for letting me ramble on this topic, and y'all have a good one.

Craig,

Good job, my wife is an RN, currently waiting the results of her test to become a CNRN (certified neuro nurse) as she works mainly on the neuro floor, is cross trained on Tele also and works about 25% of her shifts on ICU as well. She also is currently enrolled in UW online to get her bachelors in nursing.

Between work, schooling and meetings I almost remember what she smells like. There is an acute shortage of nurses, glad to see you take up the profession. Congrats!

Thanks All,
I have found it to be very rewarding, and as has been noted, some many areas to move into when one are gets old.
