Aluminium.... Bah!

I figured that this is the greatest place to ask some questions without fear of the normal internet smart as* comments.

So obviously I have a race trailer, and I am starting to notice that the aluminum trim is starting to get dark spots (what I would assume is corrosion). Also the mirror front aluminum corners look terrible.

Now I have tried using this Eagle One/5 oz. never dull metal wadding paste polish (1035605) | Polish | AutoZone.com and it did not make a dent.

Now I have a professional Milwaukee buffer, but a bunch of the trim has texture to it so I don't quite know what to use. Please help me out with what you guys have used and has worked. THANKS!

Get some alum brightener and wash it, don't let it sit to long it will etch the alum. If it does you can buff it back with never dull. But then you'll need to reclear coat it. Most janitor supply shops carry alummabright. Cut what ever you use by 50%.

Check out baddogpolish.com ?? it's a two part process.. sure works on my wheels & diamond plate stuff !! Don't know why it wouldn't work on yer Race Trailer

Yup use an acid aluminum cleaner, just be careful where you get it. Keep it off your alloy wheels, etc unless you want them stripped too.
Then go after it with the BadDog polish

acid aluminum cleaner, Thats what alum bright is. The spots must be set in deep. I deal with alum. all day and thats what we clean it with. Just takes time.

till it turned opaque. like maybe 3 min.

I was talking to my dad about it and he said it was most likely the oil in the alum. leaching out giving you the stain. Not much you can do with it but deal with it or have it painted.
