Go with the Ford part.

Go with the ford part or see if there is a shop that will rebuild the original one for you. It'll most likely need a new voltage regulator and brushes. If it only needs one or the other go ahead and do both since they are the parts that typically have a limited lifespan.

Thanks for the advice.
The problem is now solved thanks to a new original Ford alternator. The PSD is running great and I´m happy again!
