My drivers front tire is wearing pretty bad on the inside. My tires are still in great shape despite being two years old and having 25000 miles on them. I had an alignment done right after having the tires installed. How can i tell if its an alignment issue or ball joints?

The alignment shop can tell you if the ball joints are bad i just did a complete front end on my F-250 and the shop showed me they were bad when it was on the rack

Them doing the work 1600.00
Me doing it 650.00 and 70 for the aligment

Thanks for the info. If it is my ball joints, ill definitely be doing them myself. Where did you get your parts to replace them?

Napa only use moog parts for the front end
This process will require you to pull front axles out also so you might as well change the 2 seals on each side ball joints will have to pressed in and out aligment shop charges about 65 $ i changed ball joints tie rods for 650.00

Or you can run spicers like what came in the knuckles although they are more expensive. I have beaten them to death in several wheelers much more punishment than a pavement pounder will ever see. Moogs are nice to but I have destroyed them fairly easily off pavement.

Well, lools like it is my drivers side upper ball joint is bad. Which explains the uneven tire wear. And im gonna go ahead and replace the lower while im at it. I took it to a small locally owned alignment shop over in shreveport called walkers spring and brake. They seem to have a pretty good reputation and have been in buisness since 1928. They quoted me $300-$400 to replace both ball joints and align it. That seems pretty damn reasonable to me. What do you guys think?
