Cleaning my air filter which is a Green Filter and noticed I am out of the cleaner and oil. I have K&N cleaner and oil. Will this be OK for the Green filter? Only difference I see is the K&N oil is red.

I think you will find that most of us around here run a paper filter. I had a K & N in my gasser and was not impressed. I would not have one on my diesel. I would think you could use the oil no matter what type of foam filter it is.

Both my trucks had the oil type K&N. Notice I mention had. I returned to the paper filter. During the service on my newly acquired 2000, I noticed dust on intakes. The reusable oil type filters in our stock airboxes leave something to be desired. In the dusty ag conditions which the trucks are exposed to, this is less than satisfactory.
I think the next filter change on one of the units I may try the 6637 modification.:dunno

I run a Airaid intake system with the reusable filter, I feel it is superior to the K&N because it is still a sealed airbox that does not allow engine heat in. It sucks fresh air and alot of it!!!
