i have a k&n gen II air intake filter and the "insulations/weatherstriping" is coming off. not real sure what the technical name for it is.

any ideas where i could get some more. checked at o'reillys and the guy said he knew what i was talking about, but would probably have to get it thru k&n.

any help would be appreciated.

here you go robert.

you can see where it has come loose. its like a round soft rubber that is attached to a more ridged edge molding that may have a metal layer in it.

I thinks whatabudro mighta had a fix for the tearing of the rubber weatherstrip but he'd have to chime in to confirm it.

Kinda looks like door trim molding. Maybe a auto shop that does seats and stuff. Or maybe looks like the trim came unglued. AutoZone or Advance has a 3M that is YELLOW trim adhesive. That stuff is the BOMB! Won't let go after being glued.
