if its doesn't really seem to do anything, do you gain anything by taking it off? and what is involved in deleting it? just unhook it and plug up the hole?

The thread was started by an OBS owner and there is no need for the filter minder in an OBS if you regularly keep up with maintenance. I do not know what is involved in removing the filter minder in a new truck with a sensor involved.
