Maggie and I are looking at heading to St. Simons when she comes back from overseas in January. Most likely we won't be actually going there until March (spring break from school--I won't have to miss class), but I'm looking forward to the trip since in all the times I've been to Jacksonville to visit her family, we've never made it up to St. Simons.

JV March, April and May are great times to be there, not so crowded yet with summer vacations and the temps are nice with great ocean breezes blowing in. But do take bug repellant :sweet

Those are nice shots! I gotta look into that Crooked River camping. How far is that from Atlanta? We are looking for a weekend get-away next weekend. :sweet

Greg, if I'm not mistaken Crooked River is around St. Mary's. About another 30-35 miles South of Brunswick down I-95.

Man, John !!!!!!!:hail :hail You are one heck of a photographer. Those pix are amazing !!!

JV, if you haven't already been there Amelia Island is great, too, and not but 45 min. north of Jacksonville. It is one of the only places left that you can still ride horses on the beach.:sweet

Maggie and I got married at (IIRC) St. George Episcopal Church on Ft. George Island and had our reception at the RitzCarlton on Amelia Island.
