I have never, ever heard of a PYRO tip breaking on any of our trucks. Ever. There is absolutely no reason to go with a post turbo pyro. Also, the post turbo pyro "difference" is not 200 +/- degrees. Its variable, and changes depending on conditions, and where the probe is located and a number of other factors. It can range from 0 to 400 degrees difference, all in the same day. (This has been proven by members with dual pyros).

My Edge Programmer says to mount the Pyro in the drivers side manifold. Is this O.K.? I was under the impression that at least close to the turbo was the place to be. Any ideas for the best spot to mount it on a 6.0L.:dunno

What people forget sometimes is that your not monitoring the EGT's to save the turbo, your watching them to save the motor. The aluminum pistons will melt at 1300. Now that is a heat soaked temp (the hole thing is that temp) and you have cooling oil spray and water. But the turbo will handle 1300-1500 for extended times with no ill effects. You want the probe as close to the pistons as possable (within reason)

I have a dash pod and I really like its placement. It's easy to view without losing view of the road. The only drawback is at night when the gauges are illuminated. They are kinda bright. So I dim them down along with my dash gauges. For me the pillar or above the rear view mirror placements seemed that I would lose view of the road so I nixed those locations. Sorry no photos.

A-pillar mount. Blind spot? Yes. But it's not unlike any other blind spot - you simply learn to tilt or move your head slightly. Within a few days you won't even know it - you just learn. Personally - I think the small movement it takes to deal with the blind spot on the a-pillar is nothing compared to the convenience of having the gauges there. When driving you really don't have turn your head to look at them as you would below the dash, in the dash or above the mirror.

i got used to the pillar gauges in my 95 real quick.didnt have anyin the 94.got so used to driving the 95 withthe gauges i had to put them in the 94 so i could drive it.dont even know they are there untill i look at them.i also have vent visors on both trucks.and my probes are in the manifolds pre turbo.

Looking at oil pressure gauges........hmmmmmmmmm. 60psi is 60psi rather it says "oi" or "boost" on the gauge.

That's nice. Trying to understand what the price on it is though. Bit confused by their ad. Do the gauges come with that or what? I don't believe so.

I have no clue on the price since it's not listed anywhere on that page and even though I think it's cool I'm not going to go & buy one I haven't bothered to waste my or their time to call them.
