I am getting odd behavior from new radio install. Hoping someone has dealt with it or has an idea how to fix.
2000 F-250, 7.3
Pioneer AVH-3500NEX single din. Radio was pull from buddy's truck.
I used a Matra 70-1771 harness to interconnect between OEM connector and Pioneer narness. All wires soldered and heatshrinked. dbl & tpl checked colors before soldering.
When I put the key in and got to 1st position, radio powers up and disply extends, goes through the usual radio startup.
When I turn the key to the ignition position to start the truck, the radio power down, retracts the screen and then restarts.
I do not remember the OEM double din Ford radio doing this.
I have pulled the dash apart to meter the 12V power leg on the harness yet to see what it is doing on KOEO or KOER.
any tips or hints?
