From what I have read and been told is that 6.0 motors have a good enough flowing air filter. And that it works better then other oem filters. I'm willing to spend the money if I can find one just as good as the stock unit but flows more cfm's (less restrictive then stock). Just looking toward the future when I get the Edge tuner I want to gain the most out of it. And don't want the stock unit to hold it back if it will. Thanks for your thoughts in advance. :thumbs

yep, the stock system is a purty good one and most will tell you no need to change it.

but, if you do decide to change, there are many out there that will do the job.

one to avoid, from personal exp. is a K&N. i had one for several thousands of miles, and it allows hot air from the engine in, and doesnt do a good job of filtering.

i changed to the Banks Ram-Air Intake System and love it. it is self contained, has an 8-layer filter and a big ole-elbow that flows into the stock elbows from the turbo.

AFE stage II is another popular one, but i have heard of some CEL coming on with the system.

S&B is another one, Violant Air, Airraid, etc.

Below is a picture of mine installed.

i personally would stay away from the edge, good for a paper weight. start asking around, i know of 4 people personally including myself who have been let down by edge products. they make decent power when they do work , but nothing like what can be acheived with an sct and a set of gauges

I am on my third Edge Juice with attitude in less than 2 monthes. I would go with the Banks or ,Sct. I might sell mine whenever i get it back from Edge and go with the Banks. Just something to keep in mind. Cheers Mike

the stocker will flow enough CFM for around 500HP and will more than keep up with a chipped 6.0 it is when you get sticks and a bigger turbo you have to change.
