i checked bout my wheels.. which american racing say they dont make centering rings for superdutys.. im really not sure why they told me this, maybe those were for car wheels, or maybe its somthing u have to get machined, they said they've never heard of any probs, which doesnt mean it doesnt happen, hence ur case maybe they just need tighened down more, i dont want to have same prob, i didnt realize their was that much play were the wheel could vibrate loose

I have lug centric rims (20x10 mickey thompson's) with 38 inch tires and have never had any problems. I torque my wheels at 150 ft/lbs and re-torque them after a couple hundred miles.

It is important that the mounting surface of the rim and the hub/rotor is clean. (no rust build up or corrosion) I have seen quite a few wheels come loose because somebody didn't clean the mounting surfaces.

There was no rust on the hub surface. Im starting to wonder if it was a defect in the hub. But I am still looking into hub centric rings.
