Just drill the up pipe or drill and tap the manafold... dont worry about the "shavings"... Your drilling UP... you ever seen anything fall UP???

I have two pyros both drilled and clamped to the up pipes.

I have 7 autometer and three isspro gauges... I really like the new EV line from Isspro and am switching all but 4 of the autometers over...

Not resorting to spam here, but if you have any questions about ISSPRO gauges, feel free to contact me. You can PM me or e-mail me through this website.

I discussed greasing the bit with a vendor and his recommendation is dont. His explanation is exactly correct - if you grease the bit it will collect shavings, BUT as you drill the bit heats and softens any grease and IF you break through the manifold with it going at any decent speed it will sling grease and shavings into the manifold which will then stick to the inside. I did as he suggested and drilled dry then stuck the hose of the shop vac to the hole.
