If you are interested in an intake, and want to save some money, you should look at the Airaid. I have it on my 6.0 and it is the third one I have used. Dakota, Suburban, and now my X.

The installation was very easy, it was very inexpensive compared to others, and when I asked a Banks employee why they didn't put an intake in their kit I was told it was because the stock intake was so good that the only improvement they had seen over stock was with the Airaid.

So I can't answer your AFE question, and it was one I had researched, but maybe you should look at other options.

ive heard nothing but good about stock 6.0 intakes.... but the filter itself has room for improvment... K&N Airaid Green ect all make filters that fit stock 6.0 air housings. just upgrade your filter itself to a recargeable and save the Green back...... just my :2c
