Mine is doing the exact same thing....

Seems to be related to the engine rpms...sometimes. I think it my be the enviromental controls, but I'm not at all familiar with those components.

You have either a high or low pressure switch kicking the compressor off. You can pick up a charging set at Wally Co. that will have a guage on it & it will have green & red on the guage. This might solve both problems.

So you're saying the A/C system is not charged up enough or too much?

A FREE, common fix for intermittent A/C issues.

Wiggle the pressure switch connector plug.. just behind the A/C compressor. If you can control the A/C compressor clutch, on/off, by a wiggle... the contact pins are dirty.

Clean the contacts on both ends of the connector..

Happens ALOT.. in high humidity areas..

guys, guys..
if it's fully charged, it will make your man-nips hard..
now..
if it blows meat-locker cold and then all of a sudden warm, that's not a charge problem..
it's electrical, or control..

do what Big Joe says.. do a wiggle test on the connectors the next time it quits.. you're going to find a crap connection somewhere..
and most likely at the compressor..

I had same problem with the conector on the compressor. I cut old connector off and took 2 female speaker wire connectors and cremped them on, now they are very snug! Now im dealing with the other connector that plugs into the aluminum tube that is also near the compressor connector. Anyone have a fix for that or a part #? Thanks

I've done the same R&R fix on a number of the connectors.

On the one you are referring to, short of replacing the whole part.. I used small pieces of Bell wire, as shims, held in place with grease.. to tighten up the connection when it's plugged in.. Did that 'bout 5~6 years ago.. no problems since.
