ABS light

ABS light went on yesterday... no difference in the driving no reason for it to come on that i can think of... good on fluid, wasnt hitting breaks when it came on, couldnt get any codes, when i turned it off then back on light went away.... any one think of a reason?

Could be a dirty sensor or a loose connection. If it comes on again you could just try to blow them out. Dust can get in there and cause a faulty light.

ABS light for no reason is an indicator that yer VSS is getting weak and about to crap out. Yer Cruise Control will/can also start to "Hunt", trying to maintain a set speed.

$30.00 fix... It's on the top of yer Dif. 2 pin plug, 10mm bolt w/hold down clamp... remove & replace. 20 minutes.

This is not to say yer ABS light >IS< a bad VSS (Most times it is) but fer 30 bucks... it's a good, cheap place to start.

If your VSS is the origonal (99.5)? I'd bet money it's yer problem.

no problems with CC yet but i will try to replace the VSS cause i dont like those lights on....
