I'd betcha the (1999) Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) has got'n tired & dirty*. It's located on the top of the rear Dif. 10mm nut, hold down clamp, 2 pin connector.. 15 minute fix.

* It's a magnetic sensor that picks up signals.. from the Ring Gear. Provides all kinds of needed speed/rpm data to the PCM. ABS being just one of the signals.

Picks up metal particals... over normal Wear,Time & Miles and gets weak.

Joe

You might also check the connections on the ABS module.. infront of the fuel pump, on inter side of the d-side frame rail ?
