I'm fixin' to order an MBRP exhaust kit (turbo back). So here's the deal, I don't want to get the offroad type (no cat) but I have some questions about it. I want to hang on to the cat just in case I can't pass a vehicle inspection because I'm not in the "good ol' boy" network. I haven't measured the lenght of the cat so I don't know if will just bolt right back in or if I'm going to have to engineer some pieces to give it the correct length. It would only be a temporary install so it doesn't have to be perfect, just no leaks because I don't think they will pass you if you have a leak. Anybody have any good ideas on this one?

By the way, I remember there was a post with some good sound clips of different MBRP exhast systems. I think it was posted by 2005Diesel. Anyone remember the web page. I can't find it.

Ok, nevermind. I found out that there is a cat delete pipe so that just about answers my questions. But here is a new one...Does the turbo sound get annoying while in the highway for long periods of time?

its really not a loud system...unless your FULL throttle.
putt around town and youll barely know anything from stock...romp
on it w/ the windows down and you know "somethings different" :D

steady throttle goin down the hi-way and you wont notice much
difference at all.

I installed the Magnaflow and deleted the Cat - not much more noise, but you do hear the turbo whine when at idle and standing next to the exhauset.

Sounds like it only gets loud when you want it to, sweet. I'm sure that once I install it I won't be able to keep my foot out of the go pedal. But as it stands, I'm only 24 and drive like an old man, at least that's what my girl says. We'll see if that changes with the new pipes. Ordering it in the morning. Woohoo!

Well so much for the exhaust plan. UPS wants $177 to ship it out here to Hawaii. I guess that will have to wait until I get back stateside. Oh well, I won't have any warranty arguments until then if somthing comes up. Doubt anything will go wrong anyway. Shouldn't be more than about 6 months till I got out of here, woohoo! Can't wait. Anybody here from Charleston, SC. That's where I'm heading. Been there before and loved the place.

Well I haven't been up as far as Charlotte. Been on her namesake ship USS Charlotte, a friend of mine is on that sub. I guess that's about as close as I could have been. I might make it that way sometime next year if I can score some NASCAR tickets.:D
