isnt there a smell i should check with the coolant that could mean that it is the problem?

but would my engine coolant being low cause this? or is it low because its leaking into the engine? if it is...wouldnt that narrow it down to a injector cup?

I can't put a cause and effect relationship to your coolant loss. I can say that you are loosing coolant but why I can't say. This is where you have to do some wrenching, or pay for it. I don't know how to tell of a injector cup is causing this or not. It is NOT common for injector cups to leak coolant.

1. check you oil for level and contamination.

2. check you coolant for contamination.

3. do you have access to a scanner? not the cheapie dongles from Autozone, but a real honest to goodness scanner.
