One of my service trucks with a trailer got rear ended a couple years ago in the winter. A light had changed and it is hard enough to stop an Econoline with a trialer full of water plus the slush on the road, but he managed to come to a complete stop. Then all of a sudden he got slammed not once, but twice, pushing the truck 5 feet forward. An aerostar van rear ended the trailer bending the ICC rear channel all to hell and tweaked the hose reel. The force bent the trailer hitch under the truck, but that was about it. The old guy that hit him was totaled and blamed it on my driver saying no tail lights were working, but even after being smashed they still worked so he got a ticket for that one.
