I'm a new 04 6.0 guy and the truck is a very clean stock suspension truck with 150 k miles. The steering is fine at low rpm's but above 2000 rpm it gets progressively harder to steer almost to the point of locking up.. As soon as you let off the throttle its easy to steer again. If you rev it up in park it sticks but if you depress the brake pedal you can feel it bump the brake pedal when the wheel is turned but it turns easier. It's had a new pump put on it with no change. Its pretty dangerous when you get on it.

Follow the pressure line from the pump. The line should go to the hydro booster then to the power steering gear box. Your issue may be inside the hydro booster. Several videos on YouTube show how to purge the air from the system. Trapped air causes issues like you describe but it could be a bad hydro booster. Watch the video..... Bleeding your steering with hydroboost brakes, AGR performance steering.
