Help Needed a/c sometimes dont come on...

checked the wiring and the fuses...and still sometimes and when i mean sometimes i mean very speratic times (usually when i take clients to lunch) my a/c will not turn on...by not turn on i mean the whole digital assembly...wont blow air or read outside temps... checked fuses and wiring...nothing...no codes even...

worst part is...i live in houston...yeeeeeaaaaaah its a lil warm this time of year...lol

Your not the first one to post about this, don't know what it is but my 06 has done
this a few times and I just turn it off and restart it and only once did everything
not start working. I ask my dealer and he said they have had a few others say
the same thing and nothing could be found. It was 110 here today, to dang hot
not to have AC.

yeah...unfortunately i tried your method and and it wouldnt come back on...i went to lunch with some coworkers and we were going to take my truck...ac didnt come on...when we got back i teased and said bet ya 20 bucks itll come on when i leave to go home....sure enough it did...lol ticks me right off though!

Yeah mine does that alot since i bought, so i did some research and it turns out the digital head fails quite often. the only fix is to buy one from ford, about $400.00 or there is a shop if you send yours in they will fix it for about$150.00 the only drawback is waiting for it to go and come in the mail. I dont remember the name of the shop i found it on line in my research. shouldnt be too hard to find. I think they call the unit the environmental control device or something like that. The dealer would know the official name. best of luck and if you do a change let us know, i havent had the money to do mine yet but i am ready.

were in texas...we dont have winter...lol i think its time to go after a 6.7...... only thing holding me back is all the emmissions crap!!!

Is it a automatic temperature control system? ( digital head temp control)
if it can run diagnosis on itself. turn key on turn control head off (black display) simultaniously push, off-floor-automatic. it will go into self test mode with dashes running around, if there is a code it will tell on itself. to exit out of test mode cycle key on then off.
