You may have blocked them off, but they can still leak. Check them again -or - get used to the Defrost cycle. You have a vacuum leak!

Ok.... I know this subject is probably getting boring but ........... I have checked and double checked the vaccum lines to no avail. I have noticed a anomally though. This ONLY happens if I have my AC set at 60-65 degrees, anything higher and it works perfectly fine. With the AC off ALL controls work perfectly fine. Its almost as if something is getting to cold to not allow the controls to work properly at the lower temps. Vaccum leak still? I know it sounds pretty strange and hopefully I'm not the only one to have ever experienced this lol. Once again I appreciate any help, just want to get this fixed.

Not sure what part, or if any, of the A/C system this would apply to....just a thought. When things (gaskets, rubber hoses, etc) get cold...they contract and can open up any leaks or cracks.....:dunno

@ 60-65*, with the HUMIDITY you have 'round there.. you may be asking more from your A/C system than it can provide ?

*have you checked to see if the condensate drain tube is draining freely ? If it's not... Condensate (water) could be building up in the plenum..causing the cooling grid to Ice up.

You might try setting the temp @ say, 75*, then slowly adjust it down to yer liking ??

Jus my .03 :dunno
