the f 250 cranks fine but does not idle properly unless i hit the gas pedal; if not it dies. As long as i keep foot on gas all is fine accept for initial acceleration that is pretty much a crawl. Once i get going, on freeway, no problem after that.

so are there any typical things (sensors) that should be replaced such as the idle switch and/or PCM? injectors were just serviced. truck has 228,000 miles. the EGR seems to be working fine after visual inspection. any advice would be helpful. thanks

not getting any readout codes from computer.

ok so i went back and played around with everything. I went ahead and drained the fuel filter while the truck was in idle (but no properly)> as soon as i relieved pressure on the fuel filter via the water seperator drain the truck immediatly begin to idle properly.

So could this be a malfunctioning fuel regulator that is located on the backside of the fuel filter housing?

bad ICP sensor most likely.. a lot of times they can be removed & cleaned, once in a while you have to replace them
