97 going from E4OD to a 6 spd man??

Looking for a 5 or 6 speed to help move this big pig around, and for engine braking.... will most likely be towing with it when I get a set of rear airbags in it.... I know the 6 speed would not fit without floor board modifications,I have seen it done.... not a problem at all.... Ya the gears I am running around with now are 3.54 with 46 inch diameter tires, not a happy E4OD this makes... but I am easy off the line and at about 35-40 it runs out good.... I have run up to 80-85 mph in 3rd gear taching approx 2,000 rpm... crazy huh?? anyway I am glad I dont have my Trans temp guage on it yet as I am likely cooking the tranny driving it around.... 5.13 gears are going in it this weekend hopefully..... should make it nice and driveable.... I will be pulling the auto soon and rebuilding it and throwing a good converter in it, with big A$$ trans cooler and a deeper pan... we will see how it goes.... But I am doing the research now to see how difficult the auto to manual swap would be... I am thinking the computer part should not really be an issue and should be much easier going from auto to manual versus the otherway... If I can get my hands on a 6 speed 4x4 manual for a decent price I will go for it so everyone keep there eyes open.... the only benefit for going with the 6 speed instead of the 5 is the gear ratios are cut down more between the middle gears(meaning closer together) I am thinking first gear and overdrive gears are nearly the same... will check on that..... thanks for the input guys..........:thanks :sweet

O and PS.... NO BODY LIFT AT ALL !!!!

Hell my frame tweaks(flexes) bad enough, I could not imagine what it would do with a body lift....
