I have been fighting with here last few weeks in the morning only. When I first roll her over if she doesn't start right off then its a 10 20 minute battle where I pray the batteries don't die. I do notice when she does finally start the oil pressure gauge doesn't go to normal right away it takes about 3-4 seconds then she runs smooth for the day. Any input would be great. Thanks in advance.

I put a new GPR about 1 year ago. Is that a normal life span. Usually she fires right up quick on first roll but lately if I mis that first roll she fights real hard for 20 minutes. I dont have any codes at all.

My truck is 11.5 years old and is only on its second GPR so I would say that they last more than a year. Next time it won't start pull the plug on top of the HPOP reservoir and see if it has bled down. Should be full close to the top. I would still check the GPR and glow plugs as no-start issues usually lead back to them.

She has 174000 and other then the water pump, GPR, and oil changes I dont know whats been done. I bought her with 151,000 and I cant complain. Ill do a little research here to find the HPOP reservoir and see if its full and look up those readings I should be getting for the GPR. Ill let you know if she stumbles again. Thanks

ok Im committed this morning so much for a relaxing friday. Just tested the batteries 12 volts each. Test of GPR key off the passenger fender side large term hot at 11.6 all other nothing. Key on heard the click same large terminal stays hot and small terminal on valley side goes hot 11.6. After 2 min wait both small terminals go hot at 11.6. never does the other large terminal see any voltage at all. Keep in mind I am in a warm climate and im not sure if the computer will factor in the 70* it is this morning.

Next question I found some test info for Glow plugs but doesnt seem to be the same setup. I have two sererate plugs at each end of valve cover with 4 pins in each. so far i see 1.9 ohms at of the far front pin of the front of VC plug and far rear pin of the rear valve cover plug. Does this make any sense at all?

Well after reading every post on GPR's again looks like its my GPR again plus I think ive probably got 10 other problems. Each post I read points me to another trouble. Bluish fuel in my fuel canister and yet again fuel in the valley. Oil in all the valve cover plugs. Gonna get that fancy GPR this time instead of the Napa 109 and park this beast for when I have to use her. Also thanks for all the great info posted here. c-ya
