8' box and trailer hitch

I see that if a person gets a short box, they will need a "slider 5th wheel hitch" to negotiate sharp turning like parking and backing into spots. Is this a hindrance as opposed to an 8' box, as far as general pulling?

I would prefer to use the shorter box because we will use the truck as a driver. The 4 door with the 8' box is a but cumbersome for parking lots designed for today's family cars.

I have a short bed and tow a fifth wheel. The camper has an extended hitch pin so I can almost, on level ground, make a 90* jack knife like turn. I have also broken the rear window so I know the range of limits I need to adhere to. Would a slider take the worry away? Sure, but I know what I can do and I just go for it. I have a 2016 Ford Super duty with a 6.9 ft bed. I have a slider hitch but I have not had to move it from the towing position. I just be careful when turning or parking. So far no problems. Having the slider takes the worry away.

Short Box= Slider Hitch.

If you Don't need to unlock it.. Don't.

But it's there if you need it.
