BTS isn't the end-all/be-all of trannys. John Woods and ATS also build good transmissions and they're both west of the Mississippi, so at least they're a little closer to where you are.

Maybe so but how is their AFTER sales service? BTS repaired transmissions for customers when they were racing and he was in the stands. He has been known to help customers out AFTER their two year warranty is done and rebuilt their trans for some token fee that doesn't even cover the TC. Would Woods and ATS do that?
