No, the one from international is a different size, otherwise it would be alot cheaper. Some have just left it out, tho that would make me uneasy. Often you can just clean it with a swab and not remove it. At least you were able to get one right away. Alot of the dealers don't stock those odd parts.

If that kit was the F5TZ-9A214-A, Powerstrokeshop.com (a site sponser), has it for $35 plus shipping (around $10). A better price, but you'd have to wait.

I will have to go to the local Ford Garage to get all the info on my truck. This is the first diesel I owned and dont know a whole lot about them. I went to diesel because I pull a 24' enclosed race trailer and my brothers F-150 just couldnt cut the mustard. I will put all the info I know about the truck on my profile for now until I can find out more. The guys at Neenah-Menasha Bergstrom Ford http://www.nmford.com/en_US/ are pretty good about helping ya when it comes to info but you guys really seem to know what your talking about. Thanks again guys. OH, the part number you gave me and the part number I have are different. This is what I got, F6TZ9150AA, MSRP $80.91, Powerstrokeshop.coms price $45.27Thanks again fella's !

Well, I did one more check and I think I found the problem. On the drivers side front, the plug-in for the valve cover gasket there was one pin burndt. I knew as soon as I pulled off the plug something was wrong because it reeked of burn. Dont know what this does but from past reading I know its seems to be a fairly common problem. The FPR screen was still plugged but I think the pin being burnt would make it act like its miss firing??? Or am I wrong.
:thanks

Yep, theres a problem. If it shorts the PCM (or IDM?) shuts down that whole side. You need to pull the cover and check all the connectors. Also, check the glow plugs while you are at it. On that connector, the outer pins each go to a glow plug, the inner ones to an injector, and the center is injector common or ground (if memory serves). Also, again relying on my feeble memory, the glow plug connectors to ground should be 1 to 9 ohms, with less better, except of course for a short.

What often happens is you get a high resistance connection (or in rare cases a shorted glow plug). Over time the heat from that scorches the terminals and melts the plug. Eventually, the 110v for the injectors shorts across. Initially it may just miss on that cylinder but once it gets bad enough that whole bank shuts down.

Ahh, a burnt pin and a plugged FPR screen. Check the glowplug that that pin serviced, make sure the glowplug isnt "open" or you will burn the pin again.
