7.3 overheating

The exhaust backpressure valve has an elecrtrical connection at the bottom of the turbo in the pedestal, not a vacumn hose i believe. I just disconnected mine and it's run fine ever since. Had a buddy's buddy have a problem similar to yours, and he did disconnected this electrical connection and it solved his problem. Could be that the ebpv is sticking closed/partially closed and causing excessive back pressure.
