I gotta 00 f-250 that problems started happening by i would have to plug it in at 40degrees. But it would start fine. then it would start fine and then i would try to drive it and it would stall and barely move and had no power. The problems mainly went away when it was at running temp. After that i would have to turn it over for a long time and keep the fuel pedal floored to get it to start and it usually would stall alot after starting took a long time to keep it running. I know the glowplugs are out of it, but i dont know what else is wrong with it. I cleaned the air filter, changed the fuel filter, changed the oil, turned off my edge attitude..

any ideas???

You answered your own question. The cylinders need heat. Replacing the dead glow plugs should make it start without a problem. The block heater helps, but does not heat the combustion chambers like the glow plugs.

The CPS (Cam Position Sensor) goes out on these engines. This will make it hard to impossible to start.
