7.3 cutting out

i have a 1999 f350 when i rev the engine up over 1000 rpm's the engine cuts out or comkes back to idle at a higher or lower rpm than normal

any help appriciated

i already changed the cps and it did nothing

I am not an expert on 99 diesels, but I would guess o-rings in the injector lines. Sucking air.

check your idle validation switch and throttle postition sensor located on the throttle pedal.

i have a leaky fuel bowl drain valve would this cause it

a leaky fuel bowl will not cause this, the problem most likely lies with your idle validation switch and TPS
