6 speed and tranny cooler

Are any of you guys runing a larger tranny cooler on the ZF6? If so, did you leave the factory cooler and ust put the bigger one in line with it? Any problems or concerns?

Do you tow heavy? Have a tranny temp gauge? What's making you want a bigger cooler?


IIRC I've read where the tranny temp doesn't get that hot on the ZF6. That's coming from someone with a temp gauge.

roosterdiesel, 80% or my driving is towing anywhere from 8 to 15K lbs. No temp guage yet (it's in the tool box).

I run the Rockies and the Southwest desert a lot and don't want any problems in the summer months.

I see, I'd loose the stocker and just run the big one if it was me.
