6.7 turbo

There isnt a 6.7 section...so postin here. whats the deal with the "variable vane" turbo they mention in the video on you tube?

If it's anything like the variable vane turbo in the 6.0, the unison rings are prone to rusting if the truck is not used often.

My 05 Excursion which has 33k miles has been through 4 turbos and 3 turbo repairs to remove the rust on the CHRA (center housing ring assembly).

Vanes in the turbo adjust so you have the effect of having twin turbo's without actually having them. U get minimal lag off the bottom and decent top end performance.
