I had the update done 3-weeks ago. No affect on the mpg. I filled up on Saturday and got 13.6 mpg both on the meter and by hand calculating. 60% city, 40% highway. I have a 2010 6.4L F350 XLT (stock). I plan on keep the truck stock except because I bought and extended warranty and don't want to lose that benefit.
The standard drivetrain warranty is 5-year, 60k miles.
I got the update done to my truck about 3-weeks ago. It didn't do anything for the mileage. I just looked at my paperwork when I bought the truck. The powertrain warranty is 5-years, 60k miles.

ford diesel warranty which is powertrain is 5/100 ford standard powertrain (gassers) warranty is 5/60 or at least it was this way when i worked service 3 years ago.
I have not noticed any difference at all to mileage. I took a road trip (approx 400 miles one way) before and after the recall and could tell no difference.
