6.0 woes need some help

whell i got a 2003 f250 4x4 with the 6.0 and 37401 miles on it exaclty. i bought the truck at a insurance auction for 5.5 and i have no power steering and my brakes feel pulsating at all times, ive replaced the ps pump and all the lines to and from it, and my steering wheel has a little play in it and the wheels turn slightly and then hard as a rock! the only thign wrong with the suspension when i got it was that the front right spring pack was cut on the top leaf and the origonal owner cut a old pack down and bolted it over top for temp till the insurane company got it. but i need to get this thing on the road and just wondering if anyone had any ideas? hydrobooster or steering box? but to me under 40k seems odd to have these parts go out..
some please help!

If the brakes feel good and solid, then it is not the Hydroboost. But I don't know what it is.

no the brakes seem somewhat firm for a few seconds then have to pump them up again to get good feedback

That may be a Hydroboost pump, but no guaranties.

yeah im gonna jack it up tonight to start putting the lift on it and check all the ball joints and such and see if the truck will turn with no weight on the front end.
