So I had an issue with my turbo on my 06 SD, took it in to get diagnostics check. They said my turbo is getting stuck and should be cleaned. Since then I have no issues and the truck self-fixed the program because A. my turbo isn't getting stuck and B. the check engine light turned off automatically. Should I still have them take out the turbo and clean it or just replace it? what do you guys think? thanks

These trucks like to be driven hard and not babied. Get on it every day and that should keep things cleaned out. the EGR valve will like it too. How the truck runs is more important than what the dealer says.

DAVE BEN,

I drive the hell out of this thing, I tow a heavy trailer and make it work out here in NC, I am about to move to Florida(military move) and don't want to have any issues with it because my dealer here covered me with a bumper to bumper WNTY, but will not cover me out of the state. Also, i am about to order my EGR remover kit, should I get a tuner as well with the EGR Program?

The ERG delete kit is a good one. The tuner us up to you. Several have reported blown head gaskets using tuners, and many have NOT had a problem. This is up to you.

My truck didn't get started for about 30+ days last year when I had a knee replacement and it had to have the turbo cleaned, it helped a lot.
