New member and needing advce.
I have a 2004 f350 6.0 it starts easy and idles but when I take it out of park or neutral it dies a quick and hard stop.
There is no codes on my AE. It started and ran fine until I let it sit a couple of months when this pandemic started. I was going to take it and have it inspected and tags renewed when it started doing this.
I though maybe the wiring harness to tranny had gone gad or was shorting out but I pulled the harness off and tore it apart and inspected each wire and could find not shorts or opens. Put it back in and the same thing.
I have had one person tell me the gear sensor in the tranny may be bad but did not know how to check it. Then I had one tell me the torque converter had froze up still no way to check it.
Has anyone ever had this kind of problem?
Thanks
Alton
