yeh so it was the fuel filters...:dizzy

So your buddy forgot to tell you that he changed the fuel filters and fixed the problem??? Anyway, glad he's fixed; and an inexpensive fix at that! He hopefully won't forget fuel filter maintenance again. :D

No the dealer fixed it...He went ahead and took it to the dealer because another friend said its definately the turbo. Ford house found the fuel filters with oil and gunk on em. (We just changed the filters 4k miles ago) He was clearly getting bad diesel. Ford house said: we need to change em and make sure nothing passed through to the injectors. So a diagnostic $129 plus two fuel filter $109 he has his truck back...Not exactly inexpensive.
