04 with 3.73 and running around town in this cold weather with number 1 diesel get about 12-13 in warm weather with #2 get 15-18. On the interstate running 70mph get 18-22. The more I keep the tach under 2k the better. Got 19mpg in town on a tank full, but everyone that followed me was really ticked off, because of the slow starts.

Towing I get from 8-14 depending on terrain, fuel, wind and load. From 6k up to 26k.

I didn't notice much of a difference when I drove really slow with slow starts compared to letting it get a little over 2k rpms on the starts. I don't have the mpg gauge so I keep a log of each tank.

I average 15mpg and have gotten as high as 19mpg on a 5 hour ride from southeast PA to northwest PA.

I've recently dropped my highway cruising speeds to 65-68mph with cruise control an and I'm seeing averages of 17-17.5mpg. Granted, round trip travel to work every day is 100 miles, ninety percent of that is all highway cruise.

WOW...100 mile round trip. Is that with no other driving, just to work and back?

Can't do it. I can't go 68 when everyone else is going 75 or 80 mph. I wish....but I can't. There is alot of nothing and not much of anything in Wyoming! I want to get where I'm going and get there fast!!:sweet

Yes, that is the best way too do it. If you rely on the gauge in the truck IMO that's a mistake.

I just filled up bout an hour ago - 21.2 is what I figured. That's on the winter blend. When it get's warmer I will do better.

Where children play - never over 5 mph the limit . . . but on the interstate, she likes to run in the 75/80 range.

And she might be on drugs supplied by Quad :p
