ok to start the truck is a 2005 f-350. it has 147,000 miles. ford changed 2 injectors early last year. the problem is when you try to start it up it acts like it mis firing. and just blows alot of black smoke? its my fathers truck and he is in dickson tennessee. does anyone know of a good mechanic up there or happen to have had this problem? my first thought was the cps but i have a 7.3 that has this problem. thanks guys all help is appreciated.

The shops below seem to have a good rep:

Golden Circle Ford …… 1432 Highway 45 By-Pass Jackson, TN 38305
ask for Daniel Hardy (tell him the forum folks recommended him)

Alexander Ford, 1129 Murfreesboro Road (96), Franklin, TN 37064, (615) 794-4585

i had him check for codes and one came up saying low voltage signal at injection pressure sensor. what would cause this a bad sensor? i know when i had my 7.3 in the shop getting a oil leak fixed the rookie mechanic broke the head off of the ips in my truck but it still ran fine just had a check engine light on which wasn't normal. does this sound right? :dunno

Not too familiar wih how the 6.0 acts....idm?

I unplugges my icp sensor the other day and cranked it up (try to chase a problem) and it idled fine...CEL did show up. Plugged it back up and CEL went away.
