Yes, this is on my 2005 X.

Big brother will also use this info if you get into a serious accident. Try to defend yourself if they know you were at full boost, accelerator to the floor, radio blasting.

It's kinda scary.

Here in Canada and I would imagine the states would be similar, authorities need to get a warrant to download that information. In order to get a warrant, they have to be investigating a criminal offense, so unless you were involved in a serious or fatal collision or some other serious driving offense it's not going to happen, not legally anyway.

Unless you give them permission to download that data. If they ask you and you say go ahead, then you have given them access and they have full right to use that data against you.:( Again if you do not give them the data, they may say that they can not diagnose the problem without the info and....there you sit:nutkick:
