there are some plastic/nylon bushings in the shifter pivot point that can lead to some rattling as they wear out. This noise should be quieted down if you simply hold the gear shifter or pick up on it slightly. Check the fluid level. Many people have indicated that extra noise can be greatly quieted by an extra cup or 2 of oil put in through the top.



This nylon bushing that u speak of is it fairly easy to install ? I don't have to drop the tranny or anything , this can be done through the top cover ? I just got home from a long haul with my travel trailer & it seems to be a little worse ? Or maybe it's my imagination

The white bushings (part number in my post above) can be replaced from the top. Just make sure to not let them drop into the transmission. Cheers!
